A little bit about The Publick Cup...we are a independently owned cafe and catering company that strives to offer our customers an excellent and unique experience. This means that our baristas are thoroughly trained to understand all aspects which lead to consistent and excellent espresso-based beverages and customer service; we bake all that we can from-scratch on-site from our personally developed recipes; and we offer a unique and awesome made-to-order lunch menu.

Share the love...Drink Bubble Tea!

Bubble Tea has been back and it's better than ever! Never tried it?? You've got to and we've got the best in town--made with real whole fruit and fruit nectars, premium tea and crazy boba. Come and get it!

Relay for Life was a success and we're so glad to have been a part of it. Team Publick Cup had 14 members and met our fundraising goal by contributing over $1,000. So what's next???

Dining Out for Life! to benefit AIDS Project New Haven. On April 30th, whether it's breakfast, lunch, snack, bubble tea, brain food, drip coffee or anything else, 25% of your purchase will be donated.

We are always hard at work here at The Publick Cup searching for ways to make your experience the best it can possibly be. We take into consideration the feedback we get from you--our customers and friends. We keep an eye on the growing and ever-changing industry of coffee (and tea!).

*SPRING DRINK SPECIALS (think warm thoughts)
  • The Cottontail Cappuccino - don't let this one get away. A truly perfect coconut infused beverage that will tickle your tastebuds.
  • Wild Rose Tea Latte - Absolutely Delicious! We make this one with soy :)
  • Lemongrass - Ginger Spritzer - Crisp and refreshing. Perfect as the weather warms up.
*NEW LUNCH ITEMS
  • Vegan Curry Tempeh Wrap - Meat eaters will love this one too. Our marinated tempeh, ripe avacado, cilantro, cucumbers, caramelized onion, and spinach with our own curry vinaigrette.
  • Roast Beef and Mushroom Melt - Roast beef, portabello mushrooms, caramelized onions, gouda cheese, and spinach with our horseradish mayo. Mmmmmmm.
  • Classic Roast Beef Sandwich - Roast beef, red onion, cheddar, tomato, romaine, and a tangy whole grain dijon.
  • California Tuna Sandwich - Our homemade mayo-less lemon caper tuna salad (you've gotta try this - yum!), ripe avacado, and fresh mozzarella on Multigrain Bread.
  • Apricot Chutney and Pork Sandwich - Pulled pork, apricot chutney, shaved, marinated fennel, and brie cheese on multigrain bread.
*FRENCH PRESS BREW of the DAY (starting sometime this week)
We are really excited about this one! Each day we'll be featuring a different coffee from our selection of truly special micro-roasted coffees - brewed to perfection the French Press way. Nothing but naked, delicious coffee.

From Scratch in Our Kitchen

With all of the new hullabaloo about coffee in New Haven...we feel good. Good that we have customers to cheer us up; good that we are an always adapting, organic business; and great that we make it ourselves--or atleast most of it.

Every morning, our baker, Sakiyna, prepares our scones, brownies and dessert bars, sweetbreads and coffeecakes...from scratch in our kitchen.

In the afternoon our chef, Jose (aka cheesecake maker extraordinaire), individually prepares your made to order sandwiches, salads and wraps...from scratch in our kitchen.

Then when he has time he whips up awesome cheesecakes, tarts and Red Velvet cake...from scratch in our kitchen.

And when it's bubble tea season, we don't just shake powders out of a bag and stir it into tea. Instead, we make ours...from scratch with real fruit nectars, bananas, avocados, fresh brewed tea, and our other secret ingredients.

blog.thepublickcup.com is the essential resources for all things happening at The Publick Cup. Here we will be posting our specials and promotions, highlighting all the happening events, talking about our amazing coffees, our totally unique food and our delightful staff.

Please share this address with any and every one. Tell everyone about it. It's the next big thing. It's just like being at the Publick Cup almost. I mean, you can almost taste the espresso and smell the coffee grinding. The fresh bagels practically toast themselves!

You got it folks, straight from the magisterial hammer Mjoollnir, we have the most crushing Viking double espressos around.

THOR guards our universe with his hammer from time to time, and, maybe even some Thursdays (THOR-days).

Come and get some, just show proper respect or you might be destroyed, by hammers and goats.

In honor of Starbucks being closed tomorrow (Tuesday), the Publick Cup wants to offer you, our loyal customers and those who've never been outside the giants grasp, a free cup of delicious coffee! Damn straight, come over for 8 oz drip, 8 oz cappuccinos or a double espresso, gratis! While the big green monster is teaching its minions the ways of... well, whatever they do over there, we're offering you the real deal, free of charge.
